The Dennis Kirk Blonde Model

Thanks to our readers we finally know who the hot chick with the short blonde hair is!

I wrote a post about Dennis Kirk last April and have been receiving hits at Road Captain USA several times a day ever since then from people doing Google searches for the “Dennis Kirk Hot Blonde” and “Who is the Dennis Kirk Blonde Model”. The number one search phrase that brings visitors to my blog at 233 hits and counting is: “Dennis Kirk Model”.

Thanks to a comment from Billy the search is over. We have identified the sassy looking model for www.DennisKirk.com as professional model Cari Jedlicki. She is listed at Wehmann Agency, Minneapolis Minnesota.

Better Motorcycling Blog

My blogroll is limited to my favorite blogs and titled Best Biker Blogs, so I can’t just add anyone who comes along. However, I received an e-mail from officer Ruben Torres complimenting me on my blog. After checking out his motorcycle blog, I decided to add it to my blogroll.

Ruben Torres is a 19 year veteran police officer, a crash specialist and a member of the motor unit. His blog Better Motorcycling is extremely informative, maybe too much so! He could be in the running with IronDad and Dave for longest posts. I think the content of this site makes it a must visit.

Ruben can have a major impact on motorcycle safety if he cuts his posts down to smaller bite size pieces. Please check out his motorcycle blog and leave a comment to fuel his mojo. I wouldn’t want to see Ruben stop writing now that he has covered all the basics. I’m hoping he will soon divulge all those super cop motorcycle secrets they teach at the academy so that we can all Ride Like A Pro.

Kevlar Motorcycle Pants on Sale

A limited supply of Camo Sliders Cargo Pants & Sliders Jeans are on sale for $59.99 at www.CompetitionAccessories.com

Link: http://www.compacc.com/p.cfm/c/2001005/p/19661

This is a great price for mens Kevlar Motorcycle Riding Pants and being one who doesn’t pass up on a good deal I purchased a pair last night. I haven’t bought from this website before, but it looks like a good company. They have a printed catalog and take orders by phone which indicates to me this is not a fly by night operation. I bought two inexpensive motorcycle covers to increase my order to $100 in order to get free shipping.

I have been advised to cover our motorcycles overnight when we visit the Outer Banks next month due to the salt in the air from the ocean; so that’s why I bought the covers.

East Coast Biker Online Magazine

March 2009 East Coast biker Magazine

East Coast Biker has launched its new online version of the free paper and ink magazine well known throughout the Philadelphia area. Publisher Norm Keller plans to increase coverage to the entire east coast motorcycle community by going online with the new 3D format. With the 3D format you flip through the pages of the online magazine using a left and right arrow and can zoom in on the pages you want to read.

Our good friend Joker from My Harley-Davidson Mystique has the honor of being the New England correspondent. You can find his story on page 44. I’m sure Joker will be scouting out cover girl talent back home in Boston so that you don’t just see Philly girls on the cover every month.

Like Joker, I am also a contributing writer for East Coast Biker Online. For this March issue I wrote a product review of the 12 Volt Power Port for motorcycles that Ray Bowers and I market. See page 46.

Please take the time to visit www.EastCoastBiker.net and check out the free 3D magazine. If you like it, you can subscribe to the members only segment of the website which features the Cover Girl Photo Album. A six month subscription is only $14.95 which isn’t too bad if you’re into looking at scantily clad biker chicks. That’s less than $2.50 per month.

Cycle Accessory Store

Old fashioned customer service is alive at the
Cycle Accessory Store

J&M CB Radio from Cycle Accessory Store

Diana knew that I wanted a CB Radio for my motorcycle so she set out on a mission to buy me one for Christmas. Through her research she found the Cycle Accessory Store owned and operated by Mark & JoAnn Thompson in Franklin, North Carolina. The purchasing process was intimidating because there are so many different components but Mark helped Diana through the process. Diana told Mark what kind of motorcycle I had and he made sure that she bought all the right parts that would mount to my motorcycle. Diana says Mark was “very nice, very friendly, very knowledgeable and very helpful”. The CB arrived in time for the holiday and I was floored when Diana gave me such a nice gift!

A week later after we returned from our Christmas getaway to Florida I told Diana I had changed my mind and would like to return the CB Radio. She was devestated after all the effort she invested in putting together the perfect gift. Our situation had changed so my priority changed. In the past Diana rode pillion on long trips and I wanted to be able to communicate with the Road Captains on Ulta Classics. Diana has since made it known she will be riding her own bike on future trips. Now my priority will be to communicate with her via a hands free bike to bike communication system.

I called JoAnn Thomson and asked her a ton of questions about different motorcycle bike to bike communication systems. She was a wealth of knowledge and super helpful. I decided I would like to buy two Chatterbox communicators in the spring which would cost about $600.

Now came the true test of customer service: I wanted to return the $588 CB Radio a full month after Diana purchased it, and I wanted a full refund now!

Mark and JoAnn said “No Problem” as long as the items are still in the original packaging. When buying accesories on the Internet I believe the true test of  a company is the ability to return products for full refund. The Cycle Accessory Store passed with flying colors!

I packed the CB Radio using styrofoam peanuts. I shipped it from The UPS Store making sure to choose signature required and to insure the package for the full value of the contents. I e-mailed Mark that the J&M CB was on its way back and if for any reason UPS damaged the package that he should not open it. That he should call UPS to file the damage claim for me. It cost me $27 to ship the package and it arrived perfectly in three days. Several days later Diana received a full credit on her credit card!

Cycle Accessory Store specializes in motorcycle communication, audio and stereo equipment. Mark and JoAnn serve up good ole fashioned one on one customer service. They provide personalized assistance over the phone. They return calls promptly too. They back up their products 100% and they know what they are talking about! They certainly earned the RC USA stamp of approval!

Wow It’s Almost Been a Year!

Wow, I can’t believe it’s December already! I started blogging on January 1st and it has been an amazing experience. I made friends all across the country and have motorcycle enthusiasts visiting my website from all over the world. I can’t help but feel a kindred cyber Harley Davidson biker brotherhood with Joker and Dave since we started blogging about the same time. It’s not easy putting your thoughts, feelings and oppinions out there for the whole world to see and comment on. Both have been very supportive by offering their comments, suggestions and product recomendations. It’s like we were friends who all decided to do this together and that made it easier. If you are not familiar with their blogs, do yourself a favor and visit the Road Grits Cafe and My Harley Davidson Mystique. All three of us write about riding Harleys but each has his own slant on the topic.

Congrats to Lady R at Glider Rider who will hit the first 12 month mark this month; December 28th to be exact! She also writes a great blog about riding Harley Davidson motorcycles.

If any of you out there in cyber land want to start your own motorcycle blog… Go For It!
