Nife-o-maniacs rejoice! What is it about being a man and being addicted to… gizmos?! NO not sex! Show me a cool part that was machined on a CNC machine or the latest electronic gadget and I’ll be fascinated as will other men. It’s not like I ever need to protect myself but weapons have always been the holy grail of gizmoitis. Maybe there is a little Rambo in everyone. Guns, rifles, bazookas, cannons, catapults, ninja stars, swords, axes and tazers are just plain cooool! Pocket knives are a phenominon I just don’t undertstand! I have no need to carry one, hardly ever need to cut anything but I can easily spend an hour checking out the latest catalog from Blue Ridge Knives. I get excited when I hear names like Boker, Kabar, Kershaw and Gerber. Like gold coins, I want to collect them and then have no use for them. Ooooh, this one has a drop point bead blasted blade with “Harley-Davidson”  and the bar and shield logo laser etched on it. This one has a stainless steel removeable pocket clip! This one has CNC precision machined parts! This one has a lightning fast open assisted blade with ambidextrous thumb studs! This one has an aircraft grade T6 aluminum handle with rubber inlays for firm grip. I MUST HAVE IT!

What uses can you think of for the box?

It is meant to hold a collector Harley-Davidson pocket knife and comes with removeable foam inserts to hold a knife in place. However you can remove the foam inserts and use it for something like a dart case. I’m looking for you to put your thinking helmet on and come up with some suggestions. Capacity is 5.5″ x 2.25″ x .5″

Diana and I will have the distinct honor of interviewing Paul James, Director of Product Communications for Harley-Davidson to get the inside scoop on the 2010 H-D models. We are also going to test ride several of the new Harley-Davidson motorcycles. We have requested to test ride the new Fat Boy Lo and the new Wide Glide. Diana wanted to test ride a Street Glide but they told us they only have the new Street Glide Trike available… no problem, that sounds like fun. I never rode a trike before. This will take place at a three day product launch party in New York City next week.

So what would the readers of RC USA want me to find out from the Harley-Davidson exec? My mind might go blank under pressure so please give me some good idea’s on what I should ask. What do you want to know about the new 2010 product line and the product lines of the future.

Attention Delaware and Maryland motorcyclists…

You are invited to participate in the 4th Annual Rally for RAACE which includes a 53 mile police escorted ride, live bands and family entertainment at Chesapeake Harley Davidson. I will lead First State HOG members on a ride from Newark, DE to Jones Junction in Bel Air, MD where the police escorted ride will begin on August 16th. The preregistration party is tomorrow, August 2nd, at Chesapeake Harley-Davidson.

The RAACE Foundation is a Maryland based organization that is committed to raising public awareness in order to prevent child sexual abuse. RAACE stands for Race Against Abuse of Children Everywhere.
