All MAV events raise money for local motorcyclists injured in accidents. This is a charity for bikers by bikers! This early spring event welcomes in the new riding season, gives old friends a chance to get reacquainted after the traditional winter hibernation, and fills the MAV coffers with funds to help downed motorcyclists. Registration is just a few dollars and includes lunch. You get to knock the dust off your scooter, feel the wind in your hair and have a few laughs with the good natured MAV volunteers. Best of all, the money goes to a good cause!

Although Mother Nature contributed in the last two years by donating sensational spring weather, this year she was not so charitable. The sunshine was lacking and we all know what that means to riders: maybe we get some chores done around the house and take the hog out next weekend. This is a rain or shine event and the die-hard volunteers who show up every year were of course in attendance. But attendance of riders was naturally on the low side leaving the coffers light.

Do us all a favor; plan on heralding in the new riding season next March by participating in the 17th annual run. In the mean time please help MAV raise funds for injured motorcyclists. It’s easy to donate! Just visit their website at www.motorcycleaccidentvictims.org
