Mrs Road Captain is a Road Captain

HOG RC Patch

Holy road tar Batman I married Super Woman! It seems like just a few months ago I was teaching Diana how to ride a motorcycle in a school parking lot in Baltimore. Turns out that was 5 years ago. She has been a dedicated student of motorcycling ever since. She soaks up knowledge like a sponge… as long as it doesn’t come from her husband. Most say that she rides better than me. I say she rides better than most. On top of that she does an excellent job of navigating, mapping and creating great rides. When asked why we should ride through two hours of rain to get to a bike rally she responds with “because that’s what we do!”. So I guess it is only natural that she was patched tonight as an offical HOG Road Captain in First State Chapter. Congratulations Princess, I’ll follow you anywhere!

  2. Wow! Congratulations Diana! That’s quit an achievement!

Must be nice to know you can get a bunch of bikers to follow you anywhere. BTW… do they make “ROAD PRINCESS” patches? LOL!

    Congrats again!!

  3. Freakin’ awesome!!!! Congrats Di!!!

  4. Thank you everyone!
Lady R – not sure about the patches, but stay tuned to RCUSA for a special edition ladies road captain tee/tank!!!

  5. Congrats Di… funny i seem to recall discussing you becoming an RC oh, about a year or so ago and you said you weren’t interested.. I told you then you’d be good at it……

  6. It’s not that I wasn’t interested, but if you recall (1) I wasn’t ready yet, and (2) I needed to make sure I wasn’t intruding in Jay’s “guy thing” first. Needless to say, I’ve gotten past both of those! LOL

  7. Completely awesome and well-deserved! Great job, D!

  8. Welcome!!!! Bob M

  9. […] trip along with my weekly mid-day summer ride series played a large part in my being voted in as a full patched Road Captain for First State […]

  10. For the new bikers, buy the book Twist of the Wrist by Keith Code. It covres must know things like countersteering, how to apply front brake (grab a fist full when leaned over and you will wreck), how to drag knee, how to apply throttle through corners etc. After practicing topics on your own, sign up for a weekend with his Superbike School. You can use his bikes (which saves you the cost of tires as you will burn through a set? in 2 days).Stuff he teaches will keep you in the WOW ZONE SAFE!
