Denim vs Kevlar Video

  1. Ouch!
    I’ll still wear my jeans.
Kevlar pants on a daily basis would get a little cost prohibitive. ;]

  2. I wonder how hot and uncomfortable they would be. I can’t imagine it would be much different than wearing chaps all the time.

  3. I believe these riding pants are only reinforced in the area’s that are affected the most by impact such as the behind and the front of the legs. The remainder of the pants may be quite normal and breathe nicely. I don’t think that is the same as wrapping a second layer of black leather over your jeans. My camo Sliders will arrive Friday. I’ll keep eveyone posted on them and see how they work in the summer months. Hopefully I won’t be testing them for road rash protection but I’m glad to spend $59 to cover my butt. I’m excited about this price and that’s what got me on the Kevlar posting frenzy.

  4. My Sliders arrived today and as I thought, they are like normal cargo pants with the Kevlar patches sewn inside the region protecting ones butt and the front of the legs. They should definitely be more comfortable in the summer than wearing chaps, but probably less comfortable than your regular jeans. Time will tell.

  5. I’ve been meaning to pick up a pair of these if I can find some that closely resemble Levi’s blues.

  6. These look like a really smart alternative to some of the street riding pants that the sport bikers ride in. Sometimes the chaps can be a little hot but they also don’t protect the posterior like these jeans can.

  7. being a sportsman i rizaele the need of body armor, how my , elbow pads, protects me from any harm………… and these defense persons have very hard duty and need to be ever ready every time…… they really need body armor…….. no doubt that their armors are very cool…………..
